Starfish 1 & 2: ages 4-30 months; goals: basic water safety skills such as comfort, breath control, back float, wall grabbing, climbing in and out of the pool, and kicking. Instructor is present in the water to assist parents with proper body position, skill development, and start developing independence without the parents. |

Tadpole: ages 18-30 months; goals: transition from Starfish 2 to Goldfish; class is designed for children who are ready to begin more independent swimming without a parent, but are still under the age requirement for Goldfish. Enrollment in this level is by instructor promotion only. |

Guppy: ages 2 ½ -5 years; goals: comfort in the water, put their face in the water, breath control (blow bubbles), glide, kick with barbells, row-row arms, back float independently, roll over, turn and climb out of pool, retrieve rings from floor of pool. |

Goldfish: ages 2 ½ -5 years; goals: gliding, breath control, keep face in water while swimming, kick with barbells, row- row arms, back float independently, turn back to front & front to back while swimming width of the pool(30 feet), turn and climb out of pool, swim width of pool independently. |

Dolphin: ages 2 ½ and older; goals: gliding in the proper prone position, quick shallow freestyle kicks, four big arms out of the water, big arms and side breathing with a barbell (width of pool-30 feet), introduction to side breathing, backstroke kicks, shallow dives, big arms and floating side breath without barbell (width of pool). |

Catfish: ages 5 and older; goals: comfort in the water, breath control, gliding in the proper prone position, stream line kicks, proper freestyle arms, learning side breathing, backstroke kicks with barbell, shallow dives. |

Stingray: ages 5 and older; goals: glide with proper prone position, quick/shallow freestyle kicks, freestyle arms and side breathing with a barbell, four arms out of the water, independent side breath, freestyle arms and a side breath without a barbell, backstroke kicks with barbell, shallow dives. |

Swordfish: any age; goals: four freestyle arms out of the water, independent side breathing, swim width of pool (30 feet) independently with proper side breathing, backstroke kicks, backstroke arms, rhythmic backstroke width of pool (30 feet), shallow dives.

Kingfish: any age; goals: streamline start, ability to maintain endurance, proper body positioning, one length freestyle, backstroke with correct arm entry, one length backstroke, breaststroke kicks length of pool, racing dives. |

T-Shirt: any age; goals: bilateral breathing, four lengths freestyle, four lengths backstroke, two lengths breaststroke, butterfly kicks, butterfly pull, freestyle flip-turn, racing dives. |

Stroke 1,2 & 3: any age; goals: backstroke with flip turn, breaststroke with proper touch and turn, butterfly with proper touch and turn, breaststroke under water pullout. Stroke 1- one individual medley - one length of each stroke
